Over the years Star Wars has been subject to many bootleg collectibles from
the Mardi Gras festival in New Orleans and this unlicensed poster from the
golden era of the trilogy is one of the most elusive SW collectibles from
this yearly party. Most likely sold on the street during Mardi Gras, it
features a spry Yoda sipping down a daiquiri, while sitting on a lamppost in
1981. The edition was limited to (770), and this particular copy is labeled
RED ISSUE and signed by the artist. This is one of the only copies we have
ever seen of this poster, and it makes you wonder just how many
were actually purchased and are still floating around. |
