One reason that the 2nd version was successfully bootlegged more often than
the 1st version, was because people have had more access to it. Things to
look for - apparent fold lines in a rolled poster, coloring of poster is
off, along with murky print detail in certain areas of the poster and a
cloudy look to the FOX logo in the right hand corner. |

The "Revenge" artwork is a favorite among collectors worldwide, because of it's beauty and mystique.
When Fox Studios decided they were not going to use this advance version,
they sold the majority of the print run thru the Star Wars Fan Club. Luckily
this artwork did get some use on several international theatrical posters. |
