Other Info: The Episode I advertising campaign reached out to new audiences, particularly women, by depicting universal themes focused on character, emotion, and the human experience. The design firm created a visually bold poster style for the first "Star Wars" prequel, centered on the numeral 1. Initially, the campaign was only intended for Germany and Japan, but the project expanded to include the entire world outside the US. This full-color gradient gray poster is made of heavy paper stock and it contains the character Queen Amidala, with her Naboo palace gown and her tagline from the "One Series" themed posters - (one love - one quest / un amour - une quête). The series logo is found at the right (Episode I) and the Star Wars logo in black is found at the bottom along with the "La Saga Commence Le 13 Octobre" release notification and the private French radio station sponsorship NRJ's emblem. These "One Series" posters were only used overseas as part of the international advertising campaign for Episode I, and the copyright information is found in the lower left-hand corner. The poster is found in eight separate panels.
