Other Info: This poster has a uniquely German illustration of Luke in his Rebel flight suit, surrounded by different scenes from the movie, except for the background scene (which is based on / derived from Noriyoshi Ohrai's Japanese "Empire" artwork). This artwork montage includes Luke on his tauntaun, Yoda riding Luke during training, Han and Leia with Chewie, R2-D2, C-3PO tucked into the right lower corner, attacking AT-ATs, the floating Cloud City, Imperial probe droid, multiple spacecraft flying upwards, Vader's helmet looming in the background, and the icy Hoth landscape scattered through the middle of the poster. At the top, the tagline says, "Der Krieg der Sterne geht weiter" (The Star Wars continues). In the bottom corners of the drawing you will also find the small circle FSK stamp on it (The Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft or FSK, is the self-regulatory body of the German film industry that approves and rates the movies shown in Germany.) and the artist's signature - Siegfried Gross. At the bottom of the graphic, centered, is the German Das Imperium schlägt zurück title logo. Below it in the footer region, on a white background, is the cast and credits area in black text. It also has the book/soundtrack information - Das Buch zum Film von Goldmann / Original Soundtrack im Vertrieb der Deutschen Grammophon and the Dolby Stereo and 20th Century Fox emblems. Copyright information is found on the left-hand side in a vertical placement. Interesting Note* - This artwork does not show up on any of the other worldwide Empire Strikes Back theatrical posters outside of Germany.

Variations*: There are three other variations of this poster. The German '82 re-release posters (white/purple outline film logo and black film logo) and the 1982 CBS / 20th Century Fox Video poster.
