Other Info: This smaller poster uses the traditional foreign style "C" illustration by Thomas Chantrell, encased by a silver/gray border. The art contains the action montage with the space cosmos background. The main cast members are holding and firing weapons, and Darth Vader is in the background clenching his drawn lightsaber. Luke Skywalker is front and center pointing a laser pistol at the viewer, and multiple X-wings are racing around the composition. With an explosion on the right, the Death Star looms towards the left edge of the layout. A smaller C-3PO, R2-D2, and Chewbacca are tucked in underneath Leia, and the faces of Grand Moff Tarkin and Obi-wan Kenobi are floating on the left-hand side. It has the tagline in white lettering at the top - "Es war einmal in ferner Zukunft..." (Once upon a time in the distant future...). The German title logo, "Krieg der Sterne", is in the famous triangular pyramid base shape, straddling the design and the bottom credits footer. At the bottom on the gray background is the cast and credits divided into two columns. On the right-hand side is the cast, 20th Century Fox, Technicolor, and Panavision emblems, and on the left-hand side is a small English Star Wars logo and copyright information. Below it is also the Dolby System emblem, a box that says, "Das Buch zum Film bei Goldmann/Bertelsmann" (The book on film at Goldmann/Bertelsmann), and the original soundtrack from 20th Century Records could be found at Phonogram. The poster also has the small circle FSK stamp on it. (The Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft or FSK, is the self-regulatory body of the German film industry that approves and rates the movies shown in Germany.)
