Other Info: This iconic international poster has the image of See-Threepio on a black star-field background. At the top, it says, "Amerykanski film fantasyczno-naukowy ★★ Gwiezdne Wojny" (American Science Fiction Movie ★★ Star Wars). It also has the names of the director, cast, and production company - (Reź.: George Lucas, Graja: Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Aleo Guinness. Prod: Lucasfilm-20 Century Fox) in a western-style type font (referring to the notion that Star Wars was a "Space Western"). In the bottom left-hand corner of the poster, you will find the Polish movie distributors emblem - ZRF (Zespoly Rozpowszechniania Filmow). Jakub Erol completed the illustration in late '78 around Christmastime. He put that date by his signature on the artwork, even though the painting wasn't used until the premiere of the film in Poland, on March 30, 1979. Interesting Note* - Alec Guinness's first name was misspelled as Aleo on the poster.
