Other Info: Except for in the province of Quebec, which used French-language versions of the film posters, the rest of Canada theatrically used either domestic or international poster versions from America, for their advertisement of the movie. However, they usually made some kind of manual adjustments (such as a label sticker or other markings) to signify that the poster was used up North in the "Land of Maple Leaf territory". Star Wars was re-released on August 15, 1979 for three weeks to hype the upcoming Empire Strikes Back movie release the following June. This poster has the tagline at the top saying, "It's Back!". Underneath the top tagline is the Star Wars logo, in silver, with the Thomas Jung art characters embedded in the design. Below the logo is another tagline that touted, "The Force will be with you for three weeks only.". In the middle of the one-sheet is a red banner proclaiming 'Coming Attractions' for the new Empire Strikes Back film and a free Kenner discount booklet giveaway for the new upcoming toy lines. At the bottom of the poster in silver lettering is the cast and credits section all printed on the blue background of the poster. Notice that this one-sheet has a 'Bureau de surveillance du cinéma' seal affixed to the right of Alec Guinness's printed name in the credits section, on the poster's lower right-hand side.
