Other Info: Except for in the province of Quebec, which used French-language versions of the film posters, the rest of Canada theatrically used either domestic or international poster versions from America, for their advertisement of the movie. However, they usually made some kind of minor manual adjustments (such as a label sticker or other markings) to signify that the poster was used up North in the 'Land of Maple Leaf territory'. This poster is one of the most easily recognizable and collectible movie poster artworks of all time. It contains the traditional Thomas Jung illustration, with the sexy Princess Leia pose standing beside Luke Skywalker holding his lightsaber high in the air, pointing to the stars. C-3PO and R2-D2 are standing below Vader's large background helmet and there are X-wings racing to the Death Star overhead on the left. It has the tagline, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." in the top left-hand corner, and the Star Wars triangular logo straddles the design and the credits area to the lower right-hand side. The credit block area also contains a white sticker over the PG rating box on the lower left-hand side and a 'Bureau de surveillance du cinéma' seal found below the logo.
