Other Info: To coincide with the release of the Empire Strikes Back, Coca-Cola teamed up with 20th Century Fox and commissioned sci-fi fantasy artist Boris Vallejo to create several premium posters that were to be given away to customers who purchased large serving sized Coca-Cola products. There were four creative promo posters printed up featuring the artwork of Vallejo, three of which were offered at fast food chains, and the main one (featured on this promotional poster) could be obtained at theaters. The poster is framed with a black border around the top 2/3's of the poster, featuring an illustration that includes Darth Vader, as the centerpiece, with his arms outstretched holding lightsabers that crossed in the air above his helmet. The rest of the movie cast characters are scattered around him in different poses and action scenes. The art has a blueish tone to it and the artist has signed it on the lower right hand side. At the top in white lettering it says, "Get a Empire Strikes Back Poster. At the bottom it says, "When you buy a large serving of Coca-Cola". You can also see the red Coca-Cola trademark logo and copyright information at the bottom. As an added note - Unfortunately, this is another example of a theater one-sheet from the original saga that was left off the Star Wars American Checklist printed in '85.
