Other Info: This large vertical poster contains the Rebel cast action montage with Darth Vader looming in the background. X-wing fighters are heading towards the Death Star II and it also features the popular gangster villain Jabba the Hutt. The artwork on this Return of the Jedi style "B" three-sheet poster was the main illustration used on the majority of the posters around the world for the Return of the Jedi advertising campaign. The silver Return of the Jedi logo can be seen in the lower section of the poster, and below it is the cast and credits area. Three-sheet posters were originally printed in two or more sections, but as printing technology became more advanced, a lot of them started to be printed as just one piece. For this film title, however, all the copies we have ever seen are full-bleed in two separate pieces. This poster was to be hung on a theater's interior lobby wall or for outdoor advertisement purposes. On the back it has a printed - "how to hang it" diagram. The larger Return of the Jedi campaign posters (eg. 3-sheet / 6-sheet / 24-sheet) were printed at a different facility than most of the other larger Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back posters. Most of these larger posters were distributed for international/foreign advertisement just like the first two films, but, it appears to be a lot more difficult to find the larger poster sizes from this third trilogy film. Interesting Note* - Return of the Jedi was one of the last films ever produced to have a three-sheet poster made for it to advertise the movie. (See pic below)
