Other Info: This full-color poster first appeared as a full-page newspaper ad during the 4th of July weekend in 2005. It contained a free ticket incentive to see the movie over the holiday weekend. Lucasfilm Ltd. offered a promotion, that if you bought three tickets to see "Revenge of the Sith", patrons would be able to get a fourth ticket for free. In the advertisement, Yoda appears wielding his green lightsaber in front of a very festive fireworks display. At the time of the newspaper release, there was no formal poster made for this promotional event, but after fans and collectors overwhelmingly clamored for a poster to be printed, the 'StarWarsShop.com' had the advert turned into an exclusive poster a year later in the summer of 2006. So, although not officially a theatrical release poster, it is still a very cool poster based on the stunning ad campaign. (Less than 800 were produced)

Original Press Release - HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (June 29, 2005) – As Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith continues to thrill Star Wars fans and break box office records around the world, the “Fourth” will be with U.S. moviegoers from July 1-4, 2005.

This weekend only, when they buy three tickets to see the sixth and final chapter of George Lucas’s epic saga, ticket buyers will get a fourth ticket for free at participating theaters.

“Revenge of the Sith has been in theaters for six weeks now, and the enthusiasm for this movie is still as palpable as the opening weekend,” said Bruce Snyder, President of Domestic Distribution for Twentieth Century Fox. “Like a ride at their favorite amusement park, people are seeing the movie over and over again to make sure they don’t miss anything before it leaves the big screen, so we’re giving them a little Fourth of July treat to keep the fireworks going.”

In Revenge of the Sith, the final and most dramatic chapter of the Star Wars saga, the Clone Wars rage as the rift widens between Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and the Jedi Council. Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), the young Jedi Knight with allegiance to Chancellor Palpatine, struggles to keep his marriage to Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) a secret amid the turmoil. Seduced by promises of power and temptations of the dark side, he pledges himself to the evil Darth Sidious and becomes Darth Vader. Together, Sidious and Vader set in motion a plot of revenge against the Jedi, leading to a climactic lightsaber battle between Vader and his former master, Obi-wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), which will decide the fate of the galaxy.

Fans asked for it, and now StarWarsShop -- and only StarWarsShop -- has it!

Almost a year ago, during the hottest weeks of 2005's "Summer of Sith", fans noticed a new poster image printed larger-than-life in newspapers and magazines across the nation in the days leading into the July 4th weekend. Depicting a saber-wielding Yoda against an explosion of red and blue fireworks, the unforgettable "May the Fourth Be With You" ad had many fans scouring the internet trying to locate a poster version, ultimately coming up empty-handed. To fans' disappointment, the stunning "Yoda Fireworks" artwork was never made into a poster at all, relegated instead to an exclusive short-run in newspapers and magazines.

Now, just in time for the 2006 summer season, StarWarsShop is offering up the poster-size version of "Yoda Fireworks" that fans have been asking for -- fans that included it among their top ten favorite Star Wars posters of all time in a recent Bantha Tracks poll (a commendable feat, given this image, was not even made into a poster -- until now!).

Approximately 40" tall, this striking poster features the original ticket copy seen on the original ad, preserving the spirit and excitement of last year's Star Wars summer. The timeless image of everyone's favorite Jedi Master against a brilliant backdrop of colorful fireworks is one that should endure for years to come and will make the perfect marquee to announce your summer Star Wars DVD marathons.

A StarWarsShop exclusive, there will only be a one-time, limited print run, so make sure to grab yours today!
