Other Info: Framed with a thin blue line in the outer white border, this poster is the one moviegoers would have seen at the initial release of the film. It has the famous tagline - "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." and the white outlined Star Wars logo below on the dark blue background. It also contains the 20th Century Fox and Dolby System symbols, along with the PG rating box. (Tag style info - Copyright ©1977 Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation / GAU Union bug / Printed In U.S.A. / Property disclaimer license / One Sheet - Teaser "B" Star Wars 77/21-0) (See pic below) Interesting Note* - This is the poster you would have seen during the initial opening run of Star Wars in May '77, because the Thomas Jung style "A" one-sheet, didn't appear at theaters until later on in June into July.

Bootlegs*: There are bootlegs of this poster. The most common one is a version printed without the GAU Union label (Graphic Arts International Union) and the blue background color is slightly off, with some smearing of the white lettering. Interesting Note* - there are some advance posters that do not have a 'Union label' that are in fact originals (unreleased proof of concept versions without NSS details at the bottom), however, most found in general are not legitimate. This one-sheet along with the "Star Wars" style "A" and "C" versions, plus the "Revenge of the Jedi" advance dated teaser versions are the most commonly bootlegged "Star Wars" posters. These four Star Wars posters were all bootlegged in the mid to late '80s.
