Other Info: The poster contains the famous Tom Chantrell action montage illustration used mainly around the world as the artwork for the regular global advertisement campaign. The bottom third of the poster has a white background area containing the cast and credits, along with both the Star Wars logo and the 20th Century Fox rounded symbol. Twentieth Century Fox had this one-sheet produced for international use and it was not meant for release in theaters in America, however we have heard of a few instances where an a American Cinema actually used one. This version has the PG Ratings box omitted. Finding a real original Star Wars style "C" is rare because most of the print run was unused, and what shows up for sale a majority of times is the "infamous" 80's bootleg version or the 90's common licensed reprint of this poster - made by Portal Publications in the print size of 24" x 36" - with the product #PTW531 Litho in U.S.A. found below the 20th Century Fox emblem. (Tag style info - Printed In U.S.A. / One Sheet Style "C")

Variations*:This international version is rare, but slightly more common than the extremely rare USA PG rated version.

Bootlegs*: There are bootlegs of this poster. Most common things to look for - faces of characters are more yellowish than original brownish-orange. Also, the gas glare of laser blasts and lightsaber beams are more detailed and vibrant on originals. They appear muted and dull in color on the bootlegs. There are also two errant “hair” lines - one on Leia’s sleeve and the other on R2-D2’s foot on the bootleg versions, but not on the originals. Unfortunately, a majority of the style "C's" for sale today are either fakes or reprints.
