Other Info: This seven-sheet contains the circus-like artwork by Drew Struzan and Charles White III. The poster is a favorite amongst collectors, because of its swashbuckling pose of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia getting ready to swing across the chasm to freedom, and Obi-wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, and the rest of the cast strewn around the poster between the made-to-look-like torn pieces of paper on this 'wild posting' signboard. The tagline and the arched Star Wars logo appear on this poster with its brownish and purplish overtones. Seven-sheet posters were most commonly found printed for specific venues in cities like Los Angeles. These huge seven-sheet posters originally began showing up in the mid to late 1970s during an experimental advertising stage by secondary market printers. This format size was only used for a short time and then it was discontinued. Very few copies of this large-style "D" poster remain today.
