Other Info: This unreleased, uncut proof, artwork only poster was printed using the Pantone Color Matching System (PMS - is largely a standardized color reproduction system. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another.). It was one of the first rendered printing tests of the artwork sent out to 20th Century Fox, but it was rejected because the coloring was too brownish and it had an unlikable yellow tone. Because it was never used or released, very few copies of this poster are circulating in the general public. All of the known copies don't have any NSS or property disclaimers text / markings on them along with the credits area and Star Wars logo being omitted on the poster. Subsequent printings of this poster where done using the CMYK color model which needs 4 plates to create the different colors versus using PMS's single proprietary color numbers.
